MY STORY

I'm Thirza and I happily welcome you to Zoet + Sweet.

I was born and raised in The Netherlands and moved from Amsterdam to New York twenty-four years ago (omg time flies!). For the past years, I have been loving the Phoenix area, but the one thing I truly miss is a good bakery with some traditional Dutch baked goods.

My grandfather was a Pastry Chef in Utrecht and I was always intrigued by the wonderful smells from his oven and the amazing taste of his creations. From this inspiration, it's time for me to share some of his delicious recipes including a scrumptious Dutch Apple Tart, some delightful Gevulde Koeken, yummy Speculaas and more!

A little about our name:

Zoet [pronounced Zoot] + Sweet

Zoet means Sweet in Dutch. Our goal is to give you twice as much of the good stuff in everything we bake.

Our menu is made to order with natural ingredients. We hope the taste is twice as good but don’t worry, it's not double the sugar.
